Dematting: Brushing out mats and tangles can be a difficult and sometimes painful process for pets. The most humane form of dematting for your pet is always chosen even if that means shaving them down. Shaving mats out or brushing out light matting is subject to a fee of $90/hour.
Shaving: Short coat or double coated dogs (Labradors, huskies, shepherds, etc) require their fur for insulation, temperature regulation, and protection from the sun. Shaving double coated dogs down damages their coats and can clog their hair follicles. It can also cause their hair to not grow back properly. Because of these risks, we do not shave down double coated dogs.
Senior dogs: Senior and geriatric dogs are handled with the utmost care. Please keep this in mind that older dogs have very special needs and certain parts of the grooming experience can be uncomfortable for them. We ensure that comfort is the #1 priority over anything else. Sometimes these grooms can take longer and the finished haircut may not be perfect.
